Afghanistan – Second Sustainable Development of Natural Resources Project

Project Description: The project aims to help the Ministry of Mines (MoM) and the National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA) effectively regulate Afghanistan’s mineral resource development in a transparent and efficient manner, and foster private sector development.

Project Description: The project will help Indian Railways set up the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor, a freight-only rail line, that will help faster and more efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods between the Northern and Eastern parts of India. The corridor will also allow Indian Railways to free up capacity and better serve the large passenger market in this densely populated region.
