Residential Workshop on Evolving Strategic CSR Plan for PSU’s 2011-2015

  January 21-22, 2011

As you are aware that Department of Public Enterprises has issued the Guidelines on Corporate Social Responsibility for Central Public Sector Enterprises in April 2010 Ministry of Heavy Industry and Public Enterprises, Government of India. In this regard   the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee of the Bombay Chamber has consulted with PSU member organization as an immediate step, in the month of October 2010 and we received an overwhelming response. In furtherance of the above,we are pleased to announce a Residential Workshop on “Evolving Strategic CSR Plan for PSU’s 2011-2015” specially designed, only for the PSUs. The concept note with details is attached.

The Department of Public Enterprise (DPE) has also extended support for the Workshop vide their letter No. 14(1)/2010-GM dated December 8, 2010 for the proposed workshop. We have also invited Mr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, IAS, Secretary, and DPE to deliver the Keynote Address.

The proposed conduct workshop will be conducted in collaboration with Academy for Socially Responsible Management, Malaysia and have requested Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai to support the workshop. 

OBJECTIVE:

To develop framework for Strategic CSR Plan 2011 -2015

TRAINING METHODLOGY

Workshop method methodology will be used group work, interactive learning to facilitate all the PSU’S in evaluating their current CSR plans and develop a strategic CSR plan with the guidance from eminent experts.

DURATION and FEES

One and half day, January 21-22, 2011 and fees is Rs. 25,000/- Per person to defray the workshop expenses. Special concession of 10% on total fees for registration of 4 and more delegates.

Evaluating the impact of CSR Programs

Developing CSR strategic plan for respective PSU

OUTCOME:

Each participating PSU will develop Strategic CSR Plan at the end of the workshop.
