Weather Working Days
|
The Chamber is authorised to declare weather working days for Docks and Streams, as vetted by the Weather Working Days Sub-Committee (comprising ex-officio Chairman, Co-Chairman of Chamber's Shipping, Transport & Logistics Expert Committee and Harbour Master / Deputy Conservator of the Mumbai Port Trust). Based on the Mumbai Port and Jawaharlal Nehru Port rainfall records and a prescribed formula, full / half / non-weather working days are declared and the shipping fraternity and trade informed accordingly.

The Chamber disseminates useful information on business and commerce in sending important Govt. Notifications and Circulars on Banking, Taxation, International Trade, Labour Laws etc. as issued by the respective Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and State governments. In addition to this, the amount of Dearness Allowance component of the emoluments of industrial employees is also calculated and provided as part of this service. Those intending to avail the service will have to enroll and pay the prescribed fees.
