Introduction :
Strategic procurement along with Contract Management is one of the important modern-day approaches of a cost-effective supply chain.
Objective :
This two-day course will illustrate how to make contracts relevant to the active management of the relationship between the principal-contractor, learn the techniques of drafting a contract, terms & conditions, extensions and performance outcomes. The workshop will deal with commercial, technical and legal aspects of Contract Management and Negotiation Techniques
The course will also cover approach to be adopted to evaluate the critical attributes of contractors - as well as to understand how the contracts can be managed effectively to minimize contractual risks, resolve differences, and to reduce project costs and improve financial and operational performance.
The later part will deal with Negotiation Techniques. It looks at a proactive approach to procurement along with Best Practices in Price Negotiation and aims at reducing overall procurement costs and indirectly improving the bottom line. A paradigm shift in dealing with vendors helps in moving the supply chain operations to a world-class level.
