Workshop on Maintenance 4.0 - Get Future Ready - Dec 11, 2019

Introduction :

Industries, all over the globe are getting ready for the fourth revolution, INDUSTRY 4.0. This is guided by the key technologies and concepts like Collection of real time data, organizing data, analyse and make analysed data available for decision support. This requires the strong knowledge of sensors, transducers, embedded system, protocols and cloud concepts and services, Mobile Application, Big data analytics , protocols etc. Industry 4.0 approach will have a phenomenal impact on the business models as well as on the skill set requirements of people.

Manufacturers and industrialists in every sector have a significant opportunity at hand where they can not only monitor but also automate many of complex process involved in manufacturing. While there have been systems which can track progress in the plant but the industrial IoT (IIoT) technology provides far more intricate details to the managers.

In a Manufacturing or process industry of any type, Maintenance of equipment and machinery is a common recurring activity, carried out at well planned intervals or under breakdown conditions.

This workshop will also explain the current processes, the importance of connecting and Predictive maintenance. Predictive maintenance tips can enhance the operational efficiency and the customer experience. Predictable down time analysis, can lead to different decisions for enhancing the operational efficiency and profits. Maintenance 4.0 is an approach to enhance the operational efficiency, with IT and OT convergence, implementing IOT systems, remote monitoring and control, using REAL time data from equipment and processes.

This program will expose participants to the fundamentals of Industry 4.0 & its impact on Maintenance - the important function in factory. Real time cases are discussed. A new approach to Maintenance is applied to the cases from the group brainstorming sessions
